Who are we, what is our true identity. What we present ourselves to be on social media, may be a completely different person to what we are in actual real life…And for many, this is how they run their social media. We all have our faults but through the web we can make people perceive us differently. Not only through editing and making our photos look better, but also publishing exciting stuff, for instance going over seas or getting into uni. You rarely see people posting photos of them being at a funeral or having to work a 10 hour shift. These are all things people do to present the ideal life. No one wants their audience/ followers thinking that their life is shit… It’s sad but true, and we are all guilty of it.
The persona presented by each individual on social media is not always fake but at times can be misleading. Like Beyonce says “l woke up like this… Flawless” Sorry honey thats bullshit cause you look stunning…

Although I think honesty is good when it comes to social media, because no one leads a perfect life, so why make it look that way? Great blog Courtney! Both of these memes are very relatable! Its very true about people only showing themselves have fun on social media. I know so many people who will take lots of photos whenever they do something interesting and then strategically post them so that it looks like they are doing something fun almost every second day for months when really the photos were all taken on the same day. Sometimes the seemingly uninteresting things can be the most interesting.
